Originally started as THIS.

So here's what it looks like after re-doing it.

Each portrait is made only with the punctuation marks of that typeface without any distortion/stretching of any of the type.

The names of the typeface designers are written along their jawlines (for the most part). If you can't read them, they say William Caslon, Firmin Didot, and Lucian Bernhard.

Here's the second part.

I really really like this one! portraits made with punctuation marks? simply brilliant !

I can't decide which I like most, Serifs or Sans. They're both so creative and subtly bold, which makes no sense, but I can't think of another way to say it. I love Bernhard.

Thanks! Forcing yourself to create an image with certain limited shapes really makes you look at things in a different way. Time consuming, but fun =)

I think I know what you mean-- each typeface allowed for a certain degree of boldness-- for the serifs it was those thicker portions combined with the thin serifs that help to balance out the boldness, while for the sans, it was more about how the boldness of the font could affect the negative space...? Eh, maybe

By George, I think that's it! Much better description than mine. :D
