...Some diamonds that I'm pretty happy about.. I've redone this diamond model a few times and I finally got something that I think is acceptable (maybe..?) Any tips/critiques/suggestions would be appreciated...especially concerning caustics...

Update: 09.19.08

After not touching this piece for three years, I finally dug it up and tried to make some changes that some of you suggested. Mostly, I reduced the reflection somewhat on the marble floor. Still didn't get much with the caustics; it seems that the default renderer for C4D just isn't powerful enough to get the realistic type of look I was looking for. Oh well, what's done is done. I'll keep this one this way as a learning experience and try to make an entirely new one in the future.... =)

Very realistic! Though I'm not one to talk to about technical elements, beautiful picture!
Tip-top. I'm left drooling!

It really is `Vlei's fault...

FAQ #18: Who selects the Daily Deviation and how is it chosen?
"You know, I can't wait for Jesus to come back down and say, 'That's NOT what I MEANT!'"
Those are some nice caustics. Blender?
Thought it was a photo at full view.
Gems seem to be one of those things that are really hard to get looking right. This is the best I've seen; they're very realistic.
what render you use ?
